B&H Thriller Tour Pop Quiz ~ Jim Rubart

In celebration of the B&H Fiction Thriller Tour (details & dates here), each of the participating authors are sharing here at Relz Reviewz.

Over the next week you will learn more about Jim, Tosca, Brandilyn & Robin.
We hope you enjoy these posts.

Jim Rubart

Travelling with three women and being the gentleman that he is, I'm sure Jim Rubart is opening a lot of doors and allowing Robin, Tosca and Brandilyn through before he follows along behind! Am I right, ladies?

That being the case, I'm letting Jim get the first word in here, considering it might be the only time he does all tour!

Pop Quiz

What did you do for your 13th birthday?

I'll let you know next year.

Name 3 things you can't live without

Get the mush meter out; my wife and
two sons.

What 3 adjectives would your friends/family use to describe your personality?

Fun. Passionate. Kind.

Where did your penchant for anxiety inducing thrillers begin?

Spiderman
comics at age eight.

If you could bring one character to life from your favorite book, who would
it be and why?

Aslan (The Chronicles of Narnia) of course. Wait, he is alive.

If Micah Taylor, Clay, Lincoln Vailes and Dr Brock McNeil from each of your books got together, what would they talk about?

After a long discussion about 19th century French poetry they'd dive into a rousing debate about pre-destination and the rampant proliferation across the planet of White Chocolate Mocha
s.

What do you think is going to be the best thing about touring with your
fellow thriller authors?

Having long talks about our disappointments, hopes, fears, and joys. Laughing together, encouraging each other and discussing the insane world of publishing.

Here's a look at Jim's second novel, releasing in January, 2011
from B&H Fiction.

Rooms is so fabulous my expectations of Book of Days are
sky high ~ no pressure, Jim :)

“… in Your book all my days were recorded, even those which were purposed before they had come into being.” —Psalm 139:16

Young Cameron Vaux’s mind is slipping. Memories of his wife, killed two years earlier in a car accident, are vanishing just as his dad predicted they would. Memories he knows he has to remember. His father tells Cameron that to save his mind he must find “the book with all days in it” —the past and future record of every soul on earth.

When an obscure clue leads Cameron to a small central Oregon town, he meets enigmatic Taylor Stone, a possible guide to finding the book who seems to carry secrets far deeper than anyone imagines. Local hotshot TV personality Ann Bannister thinks the legend of the book is a farce, but she has her reasons to join Cameron’s search anyway. Finally, there is fanatical New Age guru Jason Judah, who will stop at nothing to find the book of days before Cameron does.

Loved the answers to the trivia questions. Especially the answer to what fictional character would you bring to life. I don't know if it was my vivid imagination when I first read it at age 10 or the author's writing but he did come alive in my mind's eye and in my heart (that was the year I gave my heart to the Lord.)
