In Between by Jenny B. Jones

Katie Parker has a normal life just like every other teenage girl ............... in her dreams. Katie's mum is in jail, her dad, well no one knows where he is and Katie lives in a Home for girls who are orphans. But thats not the worst, Katie is now going to move to the town Inbetween. There she will go and live with her new foster parents, Millie and James Scott.

Katie is very worried. Not only does she have to deal with meeting and adjusting to her new parents, but she has to go to a new school and make new friends. Church, well Katie has never really been into that, but now she has to attend regularly because her foster dad James, is the pastor of Inbetween Community Church.

Katie is not so sure about this new town and everything in it. She wishes she had never left the Home for girls, but God on the other hand has something up his sleeve for Katie.

I had never heard of Jenny B. Jones before I read this book. But after reading In Between, I will be looking out for any future novels. In Inbetween I learnt that my life is actually fantastic and that there are always people out there that are less fortunate than us. I have so much to be thankful for. My favourite chatacter was Mad Maxine the foster Grandma. From eating nothing but junk to going on missions in disguise, Mad Maxine kept me laughing until my sides hurt.

Inbetween shows us that God does things on purpose, he doesn't do anything by mistake. God plans things for us that may seem bad at the time but in the end are for the best. Look out for the sequel, On the Loose, releasing this month from NavPress ~ TH1NK
