Katie Ann is a 40-year-old Amish widow who dresses in the traditional Amish clothing.

The woman on the cover of The Wonder of Your Love is a nice resemblance of Katie Ann.

Katie Ann is determined to be the best mother she can be even though she is starting out as a parent late in life. She wants to share her life with someone, but doesn’t know if she can trust again following her husband’s betrayal.

Quirk (if any)

Your inspiration for the character I wanted to explore what happens when two people meet who are at entirely different places in life. Katie Ann is a single parent raising her first child at 40. Eli has raised 6 children and is looking forward to his life as an empty-nester.

Background to the story 

The Wonder of Your Love is book #2 in the Land of Canaan series which follows a real-life trend—Amish migrating to Colorado from other states. In book #1—Seek Me With All Your Heart—Katie Ann’s husband left her alone and pregnant in their Old Order Amish community. She wonders if it is God’s plan for her to be a single parent.
