Thanks to the generosity of Harvest House Publishers, I have a brilliant giveaway for my readers but with Australian addresses only!
Two names will be drawn to win all three titles in this series. Winners will receive their copies of The Legend of the Firefish and the newly released, The Hand That Bears the Sword now, and a copy of the final in the series, The Battle For Vast Dominion, when it releases in January, 2008.
To enter post a comment, but there is a catch! The Trophy Chase Trilogy centres around a hero called Packer Throme, who in his weakness is strong! Sound familiar? There is no doubt that George Bryan Polivka has created his hero to reflect God's desire to use the weaknesses of our humanity to display His strength! So for a chance to win tell me your favourite Biblical "hero" and explain a little of your reasons why :) I will tell you mine in the winners' post!
This contest is open until midnight on Sunday 23rd September, 2007! To read my review of The Legend of the Firefish, click here and for more fascinating details of this series check out George Bryan Polivka's fabulous new website, here!

One of my favourite Biblical hero's would have to be Esther. What an amazing woman. Pulled from all security, only having one strong family member to rely on. But she took her situation and used it to the best of her advantage. Listening to the advice of her Uncle and turning herself and others to God for the ultimate wisdom and in the end victory. What a woman.
please enter me as i think my younger brother would LOVE these books and i'd love to surprise him. :)
hmmm, Biblical hero...since naomi's already used esther, i think i'll go with ruth. 1. she's female. :D 2. she was incredibly brave in continually stepping out of her comfort zones. 3. she was known all around the city as a virtuous woman!
My son loved the first book and I would love to read it too,so please put my name in the pot.
The last comment was by ad .Thanks rel.
Please enter me into the contest.
I was going to say that my favourite Bible hero is Ruth. And she still is, however, I also love Hannah, because she never gave up.
Sorry Rel, my email address is:

My favorite Biblical hero is probably Gideon. I think I can relate to him the most because he kept wanting to make sure he was doing what God wanted him to do. (or, I guess, more honestly he wanted to make sure it was him God wanted to use!) Either way, his uncertainty was a very human response for everyone, yet he obeyed and was victorious despite dreadful odds. Obedience is always a winner!
I sure hope I get a chance to read the books! My son will love them!!

please enter my name for the draw. I like Rahab because 1. she hid the spies when she really didn't understand the big picture (God perspective)that was unfolding around her. 2. she was female and the spies trusted and did what she said (in hiding them), amazing considering the culture of the time. 3. Because of the above she was a gutsy women, who followed her instincts regardless of the consequences.
Please enter me Rel. Favourite Bibical hero, I think would be Noah. Imagine building a boat that size where there wawsn't water and the people laughed at him, and he continued to have faith in God and follow through on His instructions. That takes faith.
Yep, please enter me!
Apart from Jesus, I guess my hero is Peter, I love the fact that he had the guts to get out of the boat!
