The Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter

Synopsis:~

My take:~

Denise Hunter returns with her second Big Sky romance, The Accidental Bride, another contemporary romance filled with small town life, languishing love and fearful hearts. With her signature romantic tension and interesting characterisation, this is a tender story that does however, stretch the imagination. Shay and Travis are thrown together after fourteen years of bitter separation as a result of Travis' youthful fears. Shay's financial hardship is the reason given for her committing to a marriage she doesn't want. The circumstances of their marriage and the resolution of years of heartache seemed too convenient and happened too rapidly for my liking. That said, Shay and Travis are likeable characters and Denise has a real gift for writing romance that has me coming back every time. The Accidental Bride is an enjoyable story that many readers will adore, so I find it hard to say that it didn't meet the high expectation I have set for this talented writer.
