Bethany House ~ 2010 Historical/Amish releases

Okay, here we go readers! Sharing with you the great books you can anticipate in the coming months is one of my favourite things to do and it is now time to look at Bethany's 2010 releases.

I love to hear your responses to the covers and stories so tell me which covers appeal and why and the stories - which ones will you read?

I love the beauty of Siri's cover and Stephanie's with the headless women is fun! As far as stories go I adore Siri and Julie's books and the combination of historical romance writer, Deeanne Gist and crime writer, J Mark Bertrand?? Well that, I've just got to read!!!

The Hidden Flame, Somewhere to Belong, The Telling and She Walks in Beauty all appeal to me.

Of course, you'll need someone to review 'The Telling'...won't you?!

Wow, is Bethany House the king (or queen?) of historical novels or what?
Personally, I'm a little tired of contemporary faces on historical novel covers, but I don't read historicals, so who cares? ;)
Can't wait for Gist's and Bertrand's combined effort, but is it just me or are the woman's hands deformed?
Hearts Awakening and Sixteen Brides looked like "authentic" covers.

The Hidden Flame - because I LOVE biblical fiction, and She Walks in Beauty because I really enjoyed Mitchell's latest :).

They all look good, and it's a given I'll read The Telling. The others that look interesting to me are Beguiled, The Silent Governess, and Sixteen Brides (that last line of the blurb is somewhat intriguing, is it not?).

Nicole, I don't think the hand is deformed - it just looks like the thumb is bent at the top knuckle as she's gripping the edge of the door.

Well I guess I'll be broke next year from buying all these books! They ALL look terrific! I love Deeanne Gist's work so I'll definitely be looking forward to Beguiled as well as Morning's Refrain and Heart's Awakening!

Thanks, Jenny. I see it perfectly now. Crazy how something can appear sometimes until you really see it.

Definitely Sixteen Brides by Stephanie Grace Whitson. One of the women looks ready to fight, another compliant, one reluctant, one apprehensive, and one prim and proper, not necessarily in the order shown. A definite read. Plus I love that era of history and the West.
