Blog Tour for A Whisper of Freedom btyTricia Goyer

I love the study of history!

I majored in European history in one of my Uni degrees, fascinated by different cultures, unique events and the politics of governments in the past. I have a special interest in the World Wars but I never studied the Spanish Civil War. Now I don't need to as I get two of my great loves in one series - history and fiction - I couldn't ask for more!!

Tricia's meticulous attention to detail and fascinating characters create a series that will engage, educate and excite you!

Don't miss A Valley of Betrayal, A Shadow of Treason before you read A Whisper of Freedom:~

About the book:

Battles heat up…not only those being waged by the soldiers on both sides fighting for Spain, but in the hearts and minds of the men and women who must sacrifice more than their dreams to save the lives of their loved ones.

In this meticulously researched novel, brave and idealistic Sophie, Philip, Jose, and Deion realize their only hope for freedom is escaping Spain's borders.

By continuing the story of this band of volunteers during the Spanish Civil War, A Whisper of Freedom proves that there are whispers of hope and liberty that resonate through even the darkest night.

Here's my MEME answers:~

1. List three things you would do with a chest full of gold (assuming you got to keep it!)

Ponder the many things I could spend it on

Agonise over how I should use it

Stress about who needs it most!

2. List three charities/missions/organizations you support (and why).

Compassion Australia ~ we love sponsoring our three kids in Uganda, East Indonesia and the Dominican Republic. Making a difference to them and their community is fantastic. The girls love writing to them and it gives our girls a persepctive greater than just their own.

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child ~ my parents and sister are Regional Coordinators and our girls love filling their shoeboxes with treasures and treats for children in desperate need.

SIM in Burkina Faso ~ friends of ours are missionaries there.

3. List three ways you have volunteered your time/services.

Solo Parents' Days sponsored by our church

Community Care coordinators

Summer camps for disabled children when I was a teenager

4. List three things you keep "hidden" when company comes over.

Piles of unfolded clothes

Piles of books all over my study floor

Grumpiness from having to rush around and clean the mess before they arrive!!

5. List the last three things you've lost.

My sanity on a daily basis!

The Church roster

My temper!

6. List the last three things you've found.

My husband's wedding ring

My girls' school uniforms (in the piles of unfolded clothes!)

My sanity - temporarily!
